Things are getting a little weird for Blake Griffin. According to TMZ.com, Detroit Pistons forward is the subject of a lawsuit.

Blake Griffin is being sued by a man named Emmanuel Aframian, who claims Griffin's dog attacked him at a Los Angeles restaurant known as A Votre Sante in June of 2018.

According to the lawsuit, Aframian suffered injuries and “severe emotional harm”.  Aframian believes Griffin should pay for the medical bills as well as other damages.

It's not just Griffin in his crosshairs, however, as Aframian is apparently going after the restaurant as well. Claiming Griffin knew his dog was violent and that both he and the restaurant did not take proper measures to ensure everyone's safety.

Only time will tell how this story plays out. Griffin signed a five-year contract extension worth $171 million last year. Therefore, money isn't much of an issue.

The real question is how this will affect everything else.

Griffin may be a Piston now, but he was a member of the LA Clippers for the first 7 1/2 years of his career. Clearly, Los Angeles is part of his life, and you would imagine he still spends time in the area. Could all this change that?

Could this leak onto the court too? Hurting his focus or in practice or in games? Or will this be something that he is able to separate from his play and take in stride?

It will be interesting to see how this case goes. There are many factors that could play into the outcome and could alter the story.

Is his dog really “vicious” with a “history of biting people”? Was he negligent when it comes to taking measurements to protect people from his dog? What about the restaurant?

For now though, all we know is that Griffin is being sued for an alleged dog attack in June of 2018. As more facts come out, this story could get a lot more interesting.
