The number-one overall pick in the NBA draft, Detroit Pistons rookie Cade Cunningham entered the league with some lofty expectations, but got off to a slow start. However, Cunningham has started to pick up his level of play- and he has something to say to those who were doubting him early on.

Cade Cunningham got a kick out of people saying he was a bust. And why not? After all, Cunningham is starting to make those people eat their words. The rookie has hit the 20-point mark twice in November and is coming off the first triple-double of his career in Sunday's loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Athletes sometimes like to say that they just ignore what the media and fans say about them. However, it's nice to see Cunningham come right out and say that he knew exactly what haters were saying about him.

Already driven to produce, hearing someone say that he's no good at the one thing he's been training at his whole life for is probably more motivation than he even needs. Things like this that make Cunningham easy to root for, Detroit Pistons fan or not.

While success may elude the 4-12 Pistons for the foreseeable future, Detroit can at least say that they have a potential star in the making in Cade Cunningham.
