Detroit Pistons employees at Little Caesars Arena will be paid despite the NBA suspending the season because of the coronavirus outbreak, per Rod Beard of The Detroit News.

The NBA suspended the season on Wednesday after Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for the coronavirus. His teammate, Donovan Mitchell, tested positive as well:

This is a good move by Pistons owner Tom Gores. He's following the lead of the Dallas Mavericks and Cleveland Cavaliers.

If the 2019-20 NBA season is really over, it was a terrible campaign for the Pistons. Detroit, after making the playoffs last season for the first time since 2016, is headed for the lottery. The Pistons' season was basically over in January after All-Star power forward Blake Griffin underwent another surgery on his left knee.

Detroit traded Andre Drummond to the Cleveland Cavaliers at the NBA trade deadline. They also bought out Reggie Jackson and Markieff Morris.

However, the Pistons didn't trade former MVP Derrick Rose despite getting calls from a few times. Detroit is trying to be competitive next season once Griffin is back and Pistons head coach Dwane Casey loves Rose.
