There are three Golden State Warriors on the Team USA squad heading to the Rio Olympics: shooting guard Klay Thompson, power forward Draymond Green, and recently singed small forward Kevin Durant. With the team playing their first exhibition against Argentina on Friday, the three shared the court on the same team for the first time ever. However, it wasn't too memorable for any of them.
After the 111-74 win for the red, white and blue, Durant told Brian Windhorst of ESPN:
“I didn't really notice. I was just lost in the game. We didn't really talk about it. All I saw was USA across the chest. When you're playing out there with players who know how to play the game of basketball, it just makes it so easy for you.”
Green added:
Article Continues Below“When you're out there right now, you don't even think about the fact that we're teammates. We're all teammates right now. Honestly, if you want me to be quite frank with you, I didn't even notice me, Klay and KD were out there together.”
To be fair, all three of them were only on the court at the same time for two minutes.
Durant's 23 points led both teams in scoring. Green contributed three points and three rebounds and Thompson added nine points.
