Rumors of Kevin Durant leaving the Golden State Warriors started to gain a ton of steam when he had that infamous dust off with Draymond Green earlier in the 2018-19 season.

Obviously, those speculations turned into reality as KD signed a four-year deal with the Brooklyn Nets this offseason.

However, even if he didn't have that altercation with Green, Durant said he would still have left. He also said he no longer wants to talk about the incident, telling Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports that it's a thing of the past now.

“Hell, yeah, I’m tired of talking about that s—. Look, we’re grown men. We understand what this is. We’re playing basketball for a living. It’s a business,” Durant said. “Everybody congratulated me when I went to the Nets. Everybody wished me well, and they know that I’m still a phone call away. So, I just happen to play in a different jersey now. Nothing else is going to change.”

Durant led the Warriors to two championships since joining them in 2016. However, it seems tha even the prospect of dominating in more years and winning more championships were not enough to convince KD to stay in the Bay Area.

Regardless of everything that's happened, Durant is still grateful for his time with the Warriors and doesn't want a single incident with Green stain the legacy that he has built with the team. He's over it and he hopes that everyone will be, too.
