Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie got riled up after Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry boldly proclaimed that he can drop 60 points against every guard in the league.

The two-time NBA MVP was speaking in an Instagram live clip with his former teammate and now Los Angeles Lakers center JaVale McGee on Friday. The Nets rising star retweeted the video and took Curry's words as a challenge, even while in quarantine.

To be fair, Curry has yet to drop 60 points in a game throughout his 11-year career with the Warriors. His career-high is 54 points, where he shot 11-for-13 from 3-point distance against the New York Knicks back in 2013. It's highly likely that the Dubs star was also just kidding around with McGee.

However, everyone knows that the 31-year-old Warriors sharpshooter  can heat up in an instant. With that said, it's possible that Curry can eclipse 60 markers in the near future.

Dinwiddie and Curry, meanwhile, didn't have the chance to go up against each other prior to the suspension of the season. Curry only suited up for five games due to a wrist injury, so he wasn't able to play when the Warriors took on the Nets last February.

Like Curry, Dinwiddie is more known for his smooth offensive repertoire rather than his prowess on the other end of the floor. But the 6-foot-6 combo guard for the Nets does possess the necessary tools to be a great defender. His height and length at the position should be troublesome even for some of the best scorers in the league.

With the fate of the season still up in the air, it might take a while before Spencer Dinwiddie gets a chance to test Stephen Curry's proclamation.
