The Golden State Warriors’ victory parade and celebration was filled with a lot of light moments for the players, coaches, and fans. Their front office personnel, including General Manager Bob Myers, also joined in the fun and gave a hilarious speech on Thursday.
The 42-year-old congratulated the members of the team, and gave a special shoutout to assistant coach Mike Brown for doing a fantastic job taking over coaching duties when Steve Kerr was recovering from his back condition. He even joked that since Brown did not lose any game while in charge, compared to their head coach who had one in the Finals, that they may have a decision to make on who will be calling the plays moving forward.
“Mike, you didn't lose any games did you? Steve, you lost one,” Myers said flatly, while pausing for comedic effect. “We've got a decision to make, that's the problem.”

Despite the hilarious comment Myers made, Kerr’s job appears to be even more secured now after steering the Dubs to their second title in three years. He is still under contract and will be relied upon to help continue promoting a winning culture within the organization. The five-time champion, as player, also owns an outstanding record as a coach with 207 wins versus only 39 losses.
The only concern on Kerr’s future is his health. This summer will be crucial for him as he needs to rest his body to prepare for next season’s grind. The good news for him though is if he’ll be forced to take some time off, he knows Brown is more than capable of running the sets for the Warriors.
