Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala has been given the green light to play in Tuesday's contest against the Denver Nuggets, after having had his status up in the air due to a sore left toe. Iguodala was able to get shots up earlier in the day, paving the way to take the court for the crucial Western Conference matchup as the two teams battle for the No. 1 seed in the West:

Golden State has been judicious about when to give players nights off on their path to the postseason, but Iguodala is presumably feeling well enough to contribute for a game that the Warriors may not need, but surely would like to have.

Now in his age-35 year, Iguodala is on pace to play the fewest minutes of his career (23.3 per game), while averaging his lowest scoring total (5.8 points per game) in 15 NBA campaigns. One of those seasons came as a member of the Nuggets back in 2012-13, when he started all 80 regular-season contests that he appeared in, helping lead the franchise to the playoffs.

The 2018-19 installments of each franchise have been jockeying for the top spot out West for the majority of the season, even as the Warriors have professed their lack of need to be the league's top seed for the postseason. The club has pushed that they would prefer to be clicking on all cylinders and healthy, deferring home-court advantage to the Nuggets, should that be necessary. Golden State was able to topple the No. 1 seed Houston Rockets in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals on the road last season en route to another NBA championship.
