Golden State Warriors assistant coach Ron Adams was on DeMarcus Cousins' ear during a timeout in their game against the Boston Celtics.

Peep the clip below as via Anthony Slater of The Athletic. During that time, the Warriors were getting pounced on both ends of the floor. Head coach Brad Stevens' game plan consisted of attacking Cousins thru pick and rolls and subsequent switches. And it proved very effective as Cousins was in foul trouble night long.

Adams was quick to notice this and decided to give Cousins some tips. But as seen in the clip, the conversation went on. Perhaps Cousins also offered his side of the story.

Either way, the Celtics, despite their mediocre performance thus far, proved that they are a well-coached team. Stevens can still be considered as one of the top coaches in the NBA. He figured out one of the few weak points in the Warriors' system and exploited it.

A Celtics-Warriors NBA Finals could be a possibility. If such a match up pushes thru, the Warriors should think of ways on how to counter Stevens' tactics.

As the Celtics move forward, their performance against the Warriors on Tuesday should give them some confidence. They are a very capable team and they proved it against the back-to-back defending champions.
