Several teams are believed to be in pursuit of Russell, including the Timberwolves. Minnesota has long been keen on acquiring Russell, but the offers they have sent through thus far have been turned down. Now, according to reports, the Wolves are looking to get a few more teams involved in a deal for Russell.

With Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson out of commission due to injuries, Russell has seen an increased role with Golden State. He's making the most of this opportunity. In fact, he's enjoying the best statistical season of his career. The Warriors as a whole, however, have struggled, as their 12-39 overall record can attest.
In his 32 appearances this season (all starts), Russell has racked up averages of 23.8 points on 43.3 percent shooting from the field (38.3 percent from beyond the arc), 6.3 assists, 3.7 rebounds and just under one steal (0.9) in 32.1 minutes per outing. However, the Warriors are currently holding a 12-39 overall record.
Wednesday night's matchup between the Warriors and Nets is scheduled to tip inside the Barclays Center at 7:30 p.m. ET. Golden State will be looking to build on a to-game winning streak.
