Golden State Warriors big man DeMarcus Cousins had a very impressive showing in his season debut, finishing with 14 points, six rebounds and three assists over 15 minutes before fouling out of the Warriors' 112-94 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night.
Afterward, Cousins was obviously a hot topic, and he had a whole lot of questions to answer.
First, in spite of how good he looked, he said he didn't actually feel in sync:
#Warriors’ DeMarcus Cousins on getting his rhythm – “Honestly, I still don’t really feel my rhythm is where I want it. Every time I touched the ball, I felt like I was about to travel or trip over my feet, so I would kind of catch it, take my time, then make my decision.” pic.twitter.com/GzTDpjQTs3

As far as the chemistry between Cousins and his star teammates? The Warriors big says it wasn't bad, but it could be better:
#Warriors’ DeMarcus Cousins on chemistry with Steph, KD, Klay, and Draymond – “It wasn’t bad. I think we can get a whole lot better. We’ve got a lot of potential. Honestly, this was our first time playing together, Steve [Kerr] just kind of threw us out there in the fire.” pic.twitter.com/xnYNvpxfxi

Cousins also said he appreciated Draymond Green picking up a technical foul in defense of him:

Nah, I’m just kidding. It’s a great group of guys, you can tell they all fight for one another.” pic.twitter.com/8E1P3a3nBy

Clearly, Cousins was a bit rusty, as he fouled out in just 15 minutes of action. He was given a standing ovation upon exiting the game, and he actually said he didn't like it very much:
#Warriors’ DeMarcus Cousins on cheers, then a standing ovation when he fouled out – “Man… That was probably the fakest love I’ve ever received in my life. I honestly don’t see how Steph and KD do it daily. I don’t like it, so hopefully this is the last day of this.” pic.twitter.com/f0gAqEKeY9

Boogie added that to see how far he has come is certainly amazing:

I was sitting in a wheelchair in L.A. staring at the sunset and said, ‘Think about where you are now & where you came from.’ It kind of put everything in perspective for me.” pic.twitter.com/KmKWFMlN7l

The 28-year-old said it felt like Christmas morning finally being able to play:

This is probably one of the best days of my life, just being out there on the floor again playing the game that I love.” pic.twitter.com/00QoypZS6c

The Warriors star is also used to being the center of attention offensively. After all, he spent most of his career on the Sacramento Kings. Now, however, he isn't even seeing double teams:

As for Marcin Gortat's physicality? Boogie brushed it off:
#Warriors’ DeMarcus Cousins was asked about the #Clippers’ physicality:
DMC: “Who was being physical?”
Reporter: “Sometimes, Gortat.”
DMC: “Man, y’all lucky this my first day back… I saw his quotes before the game, that’s why I feel some type of way.” pic.twitter.com/LMMPYArDxx

Cousins was also asked about his three-point shooting, as the Clippers were allowing him looks from three. That could be dangerous, as Cousins has shown that he can hit the three-ball:

And as far as how his first dunk felt? Cousins is just happy to know he can still do it:
