Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has already ruled out center DeMarcus Cousins and small forward  Andre Iguodala for Friday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Warriors are facing the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday. With the season almost over, there's no point to play Cousins and Iggy in a back-to-back situation:

The Warriors are 53-24 on the season and have the best record in the Western Conference.

DeMarcus Cousins will be playing in his 28th game of the season on Thursday. The four-time All-Star is averaging 16.1 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game on the season for the Dubs while shooting 49.2% from the field, 26.3% from beyond the arc and 74.8% from the free-throw line.

Golden State is 20-7 with Cousins in the lineup. Boogie is coming off a dominant performance against Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets in which he put up 28 points and 13 rebounds to help create breathing room at the top of the West.

Andre Iguodala has played in 67 games this season for the Warriors. The swingman is putting up 5.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game and shooting 51.0% overall and 34.1% from the 3-point line.

Golden State is widely expected to win the championship again this season. It would be the Warriors' third straight title and fourth in five years.
