For the first time since suffering an Achilles injury a year ago, Golden State Warriors center DeMarcus Cousins played more than 30 minutes in an NBA game, and he seems very happy about it.

In his 31 minutes of action, Cousins finished with 24 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists, helping the Golden State Warriors beat the Charlotte Hornets 121-110.

Cousins has been in a minutes restriction since making his debut for the Warriors back in January. However, Golden State's coaching staff also wanted to slowly increase his minutes, especially since the playoffs are just around the corner. Boogie will be an integral part of the Dubs' quest to win a third straight title, so the team wants him to be 100 percent ready come postseason.

But despite being productive, Cousins is also showing signs of fatigue. His body is obviously still adjusting to the grueling NBA schedule, and Warriors coach Steve Kerr is planning to give him, as well as the rest of the Warriors veterans, some breather. He's already contemplating on sitting them out in the second night of their back-to-back games against the Orlando Magic and Miami Heat later this week.

The Warriors currently own the top seed in the Western Conference, and with a playoff spot guaranteed, it is important to monitor the health of the players, as an injury to any one of their stars would be a serious blow in the team's quest for a three-peat.

Regardless of how the team will handle Cousins' playing time, it's still great to see him be able to slowly regain his form, and removing his minutes restriction could prove to be a good decision for the Warriors.
