Golden State Warriors big man DeMarcus Cousins is expected to miss his team's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night as a result of a sore foot, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic.
Cousins, who underwent an MRI on his foot on Monday, will also miss the Warriors' matchup with the San Antonio Spurs on Monday evening.
The 28-year-old returned to the Warriors in mid-January after sitting out the first few months of the season while recovering from a torn Achilles he suffered last January while with the New Orleans Pelicans.
Since getting back on the floor, Cousins is averaging 15.6 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.3 steals over 25.8 minutes per game while shooting 46.6 percent from the floor, 24.6 percent from 3-point range and 77.7 percent from the free-throw line.

His best game of the season came during Golden State's win over the Houston Rockets last Wednesday, when he finished with 27 points, eight rebounds and seven assists across 32 minutes while making 11 of his 16 field goal attempts.
Cousins signed a one-year deal with the Dubs this past summer, much to the chagrin of the rest of the NBA. The five-time All-Star was expected by many to earn a max contract last offseason, but his Achilles injury threw a wrench into things, and no one seemed all that interested in offering him a multi-year deal.
As a result, the Warriors represented one of his only options, and the consensus is that Cousins will spend just one season in the Bay Area before re-testing the free-agent market in July.
