It looks like there's a good chance Golden State Warriors center DeMarcus Cousins will play in the NBA Finals, as he's been making good progress in his recovery from a torn left quad. As he always does, Warriors power forward Draymond Green had a great analogy for Cousins' potential return to the lineup.

Cousins has been out since Game 2 of the first round of the playoffs. Green says should Boogie play for the Warriors in the Finals, it would be a difficult adjustment for the talented big man.

You can always count on Green to have a colorful quote whenever he's at the microphone.

Essentially, Green is saying the pace and intensity of an NBA Finals game is totally different even from a playoff game. Cousins is probably going to be rusty the first time he steps on the court. It also bears reminding that until April, Cousins had never even played in a postseason game.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said earlier this week Cousins' recovery is “tricky” since he can't afford to experiment with lineups in an NBA Finals series. The lumbering big man has limitations on both ends of the floor that could be exploited by the Raptors, too, especially considering he'll likely need time to acclimate to the speed of the game.

DeMarcus Cousins averaged 16.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists during the regular season while shooting 48.0 percent from the floor, 27.4 percent beyond the arc, and 73.6 percent from the free-throw line. The Warriors would love to have his scoring and rebounding for the Finals, but again, it's a dicey situation considering the stakes at hand.
