Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green went off with an epic rant on Wednesday to defend the hate and criticisms towards reality television star Kim Kardashian.
Kim K has been on the receiving end of a major backlash after her 2022 Met Gala appearance where she was seen wearing a dress once used by Marilyn Monroe, per BBC. The beauty mogul admitted that she had to do a crash diet and lost more than seven kilograms in three weeks just to fit into the dress, something that didn't sit well with a lot of people as they said it sets the wrong example for children and teenagers looking up to her.
Green has seen all the hate directed towards Kim and couldn't help but question why “people really think they have the right to get mad at the food someone does/doesn’t eat.”
We live in an rather interesting world to say the least. I saw people mad at Kim K over the last couple of days of a diet she was supposedly on. People really think they have the right to get mad at the food someone does/doesn’t eat?

The Warriors star went on to slam the parents and emphasize that it is not the celebrities' role to raise their kids. In response to the talks about Kim Kardashian promoting unrealistic and unhealthy diet, Draymond Green noted that it is for the parents to guide and teach their children properly.
“Y’all have y’all own idea of what celebrities/fame entails. And those ideas range far left and far right. But what I am certain it doesn’t entail is raising someone else’s children for them. If you are mad at something a celebrity does because of how it may affect your child…” Green added in his lengthy Twitter rant.

A lot of children look up to celebrities and see them as role models. For stars like Kim Kardashian who has a massive reach, her influence has certainly a massive impact on children and teenagers. With that said, it is easy to see why more people want her to use her platform better.
But to the point of the Warriors forward, parents should do their roles as well. If they don't want their kids to look at the Kardashians and make them as their role models, then they should set an example themselves.
They said the diet was bad for kids. 😂😂😂😂 Question… Why does people think it’s up to celebrities to raise their kids for them? It’s baffling. If you don’t want your kid to eat like her, it’s simple… Teach them otherwise.

You are FAILING as a parent! And, it’s tough to fail at something that doesn’t have a grade/handbook to even define what passing or failing actually means. Do better people and stop expecting folks you see on TV to do for your kid what your parents did or should’ve done for you.
