Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green knows that his battle with Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis will be a tough one. After all, they know very well how each other plays.
In an interview with Rachel Nichols of ESPN ahead of the Lakers-Warriors play-in on Wednesday, Green opened up about the potential showdown with AD and why it will “all boil down to heart.” As Nichols noted, Davis is the player Green has guarded the most over the past eight years, which means they have a lot of familiarity with the strengths and weakness of each other–something both of them will certainly look forward to exploit.
With that said, Green expressed his belief that the deciding factor will be “who wants it more.”
Going 1-on-1 with Draymond Green who says he's "excited as hell" for tonight's game. He says the battle between him & AD is gonna "boil down to heart. It boils down to who wants it more." As for the Warriors chances if they make the main draw? "We can be right there with anybody" pic.twitter.com/lg8eMdL7y8

There are a lot of reasons to get hyped about the Lakers-Warriors play-in, and the Draymond Green-Anthony Davis matchup is undoubtedly one of them. They are two of the best defenders in the league this season, and they could very well end up being the X-factors that decides the game for their respective teams.
Put simply, while LeBron James and Stephen Curry will be the stars of the show in what is expected to be another classic scoring bout, Green and Davis will play crucial roles in making sure the team gets key stops and the offense keeps flowing. The fact that they know each other's style very well will also be an interesting story to follow since it may make a huge difference come clutch time.
Fortunately, Lakers and Warriors fans won't need to wait long to see that!
