The Golden State Warriors are set to begin the 2020-2021 season against the Brooklyn Nets on December 22, to the dismay of Draymond Green. When asked about facing the Nets on opening night, Green wasn't afraid to speak his mind, per The Athletic's Anthony Slater.

On opening night on December 22, the Warriors and the Nets will be the first game of the upcoming season. Golden State and Brooklyn will then be followed by a battle of the Los Angeles teams with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers squaring off.

Green wasn't able to partake in training camp with the Warriors due to reasons that haven't been disclosed by the team. Seeing that Green and rookie James Wiseman are the only two players who have been absent at practice, it's assumed that they were the two players that reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 for Golden State.

While Wiseman could be limited to begin the season due to being a rookie, Green should have his usual minutes to begin the season. The Warriors and the Nets are two of the most interesting teams in the NBA this season. The Dubs won't have Klay Thompson, but they will have No. 2 NBA draft pick James Wiseman working with Green and Stephen Curry.

The Nets will get to test their Kyrie Irving-Kevin Durant tandem against the Warriors and Green, a delicious matchup for so many different reasons.
