The Golden State Warriors made an addition to their coaching staff on Monday morning. According to a report from Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Theo Robertson will serve as the team's player development coach, filling the vacancy that was left when Willie Green joined the Phoenix Suns.
The Warriors are hiring Theo Robertson onto their coaching staff, I’m told. Will fill the player development vacancy left by Willie Green. Robertson played at Cal, worked with Warriors/Lakers previously. Most recently on staff at Cal.

Simply put, Robertson is a basketball guy. He played his collegiate ball at the University of California from 2005 to 2010, finishing as the school's all-time three-point shooter, making 44.0 percent of his three-point attempts. He's also a top-25 scorer in the school's history.
After graduating from Cal in 2010 with a degree in social welfare, Robertson returned to the school for two seasons (2011-12 and 2012-13), serving as a graduate manager, then later as director of operations.

Robertson had several roles with the Warriors, including video intern, video coordinator and player development coach. He was also onboard when the Dubs won the 2015 championship. However, he joined the Lakers for the 2016-17 season, serving as an assistant coach.
Robertson also has experience with Team USA, as he got his first assignment with the team as a court coach for the 2018 USA Men’s U17 World Cup Team Trials.
The Warriors finished the 2018-19 regular season with an impressive 57-25 overall record, which earned the team a No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. Unfortunately, though, Golden State was defeated by the Toronto Raptors in the Finals, 4-2.
