The Golden State Warriors are going to bring a piece of Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki with them when they move to their new arena in downtown San Francisco.

In the 2007 playoffs, the No. 8 seeded Warriors beat Dirk Nowitzki and the No. 1 seeded Mavs in the first round of the playoffs. Nowitzki was pissed about the loss and threw a plastic recycling bin in the visitor's locker room, leaving a huge hole in the wall.

Turns out, the Warriors are going to bring the wall with them, according to Eddie Sefko of the Dallas News.

As you can see, Nowitzki signed the wall after a member of the arena asked the future Hall of Famer to autograph it. Nowitzki won the 2011 NBA championship over LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat, so he's been in a good mood ever since then.

The Warriors will be playing in The Chase Center next season, and they are going to be bringing this historical Dirk shrine with them. That 2007 “We Believe” team was one of the most fun teams to watch in NBA history. Led by Baron Davis, Stephen Jackson and Jason Richardson, Golden State pulled off a huge upset over the Mavs and made basketball fun again in The Bay Area.

Kudos to Dirk being a good sport about this.
