Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green will finally make his season debut on Friday night against the Portland Trail Blazers. However, head coach Steve Kerr plans to ease him in with limited minutes.

Green tested positive for COVID-19 during training camp, which forced him to miss time. Then before the regular season could even get going, he suffered yet another setback with a foot injury.
The former Defensive Player of the Year will certainly bring much-needed energy on both ends of the court to the Warriors. They've struggled through their first four contests, despite a 2-2 record. Golden State was outscored by 65 points through back-to-back losses to the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks to start the year.
Article Continues BelowSince, the Warriors have collected victories over the Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons. Steph Curry hasn't had a ton of help offensively, with the exception of rookie James Wiseman who has enjoyed quite the start to his NBA career.
Green's absence has been heavily felt and the Warriors will be extremely happy to have the 30-year old back in the lineup. Kerr definitely has the right thinking by slowly transitioning Green into full minutes though, considering he hasn't played at all yet this season.
The Warriors will be searching for their third win of the year against Portland.
