Kevin Durant's time with the Golden State Warriors may be short, but for him, it's still one of the most memorable.

In an interview with Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, Durant called his experience with the team life-changing.

“It was a life-changing experience. I grew up as a young adult in OKC and then entering my 30s in Golden Sate was an enlightening experience, getting to play the game and reaching that level with the players of different backgrounds,” said Durant, who won two championships with the Dubs from 2016 to 2019.

“It was just so much that went into that experience that elevated me mentally, physically and elevated my game. It was a fun time and I appreciate all that we accomplished together.”

Durant joined the Warriors back in 2016 in his quest to win a championship, which he achieved the following year and the year after that. 2018-19 was supposed to be the season that Golden State would three-peat, but a series of unfortunate events — including KD's Achilles injury — prevented the Warriors from achieving that goal.

Still, Durant made the Warriors one of the most unstoppable teams over the past three years. However, he chose to move on from the Dubs and signed a four-year deal with the Brooklyn Nets this offseason.

Certainly, KD is grateful to have been a part of a great culture in Golden State. But for him, that is now a thing of the past.
