Former Golden State Warriors forward, now with the Brooklyn Nets, Kevin Durant is taking shots at the media yet again.

While being interviewed by Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson in their “All the Smoke” podcast, Durant stated that the media tried to “separate” the Golden State Warriors during his three-year run with the squad, which he noted was something the media didn't do with other stacked teams, such as the Miami Heat:

Does Durant have a point?

In a way, maybe, because there did seem to be a heck of a lot more talk about the locker-room issues in Golden State than there was in Miami, but the Warriors also kind of did that to themselves.

The media didn't invent the fight between Durant and Draymond Green last season. It happened in plain sight, and it was clear that it had an adverse effect on the club, at least early on in the 2018-19 campaign.

The media also did not create the narrative that Durant wanted to leave the Dubs in free agency. It was always a very real thing, and it ended up occurring, as Durant ultimately departed the Bay Area for the Brooklyn Nets this past summer.

While one can understand Durant's frustration, there is also a level of accountability here that he needs to take.

There is a reason why there was so much attention on the Warriors in Durant's final days with the team, and a lot of that media storm was birthed by Durant himself, even if he didn't realize what he was doing.

But it seems pretty obvious at this point that Durant's peculiar relationship with the media will never end.
