The Golden State Warriors drafted two-time MVP Stephen Curry with the seventh pick back in 2009 with his shooting-making ability as the primary reason. However, during the draft combine, Curry recorded a vertical leap that's similar to a very athletic guard that was drafted a year before him — Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook.

Yep, Curry can jump almost as high as Westbrook.

As you all know, Westbrook is one of the best in-game dunkers in the league. It's hard not to be wowed by his throwdowns because he has the athleticism and the leaping ability to make every single one of it look ferocious. In addition, he's also one of the best rebounding guards in the league.

If Curry can jump as high as Westbrook, then why isn't he dunking and rebounding the ball more often?

Well, that's simply because they have different playing styles. Although Curry can jump almost as high as Westbrook, he's not as athletic and as strong as the OKC guard. However, he sure as hell made up for his lack of athleticism with his shot-making capabilities. Curry is widely considered as the best shooter in the history of basketball.

Curry can dunk the ball, he just prefers to play the game using his strengths.

Everything worked for both Curry and Westbrook. Both of them have already won league MVP honors, they've appeared in multiple All-Star Games, and they're both recognized as two of the best point guards in the NBA.

Curry just has one particular edge over Westbrook.

He's a three-time NBA champion.
