When DeMarcus Cousins suffered a torn Achilles injury last season, a lot of people around the NBA has been pessimistic about his return. And even though the Golden State Warriors eventually signed him to a one-year, $5 million contract, even some of them had questions about Cousins.
The All-Star center was initially to miss almost the entire regular season. But with the Warriors' stacked roster, there was no pressure on him to rush his return.
But his recovery progress went faster than expected. He was already training with the team in December and ultimately made his season debut against the L.A. Clippers last week.
Now, four games in, Cousins is putting up 13.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game while shooting 46 percent from the field. One of the people who's happy to see him make strides in his return is Warriors coach Steve Kerr, who admitted to Mark Medina of The Mercury News ahead of the Warriors' game against the Indiana Pacers that he was once worried about how good Cousins will be once he steps back in the court.

So far though, it's looking pretty good.
