Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr added to the ‘NBA's best team' debate on Friday when he claimed that the 2016-17 Dubs could contend for the said honor.
During an appearance on The Warriors Insider Podcast, Kerr said that their 2017 team could undoubtedly go with the best in NBA history.
“That team, to me, was as good as any team that's ever played, at least since I've been watching the NBA, playing in the NBA, following it, covering it as a broadcaster. That was as challenging a group at both ends of the floor I've ever seen.”

The team posted a regular-season record of 67-15, six wins off their record-setting campaign the year before. However, the record was still good enough for the top seed in the Western Conference.
The Dubs eventually destroyed their competition in the playoffs, going 16-1 in the postseason to tie the 2001 Los Angeles Lakers for best postseason record of all time. The sole loss in the playoffs came in the Finals at the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers led by LeBron James.
The team boasted plenty of stars back then, headed by Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. The 2016-17 team started what could be said as one of the most dominant three-year runs in the NBA.
