On January 9th, Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson successfully made his return to the hardwood. It was a home game against the Cleveland Cavaliers where he scored 17 points helping his team to a victory. On Sunday, Thompson's season finished with a season-high 41 points.

In between those games, things started to get ugly for the three-time champion. He put together a string of disappointing games that resulted in a bunch of losses for the Warriors.

The team that was considered the best in the NBA before Thompson's return was falling in the rankings, and he was severely struggling. Fans started to grumble some, but Steve Kerr didn't have any doubts that his sharpshooter would find his game. It happened right at the end of the season, and Thompson finished the year averaging 20.4 points a game.

After the Warriors' final game, Kerr pretty much told everyone, I told you so.

“It doesn't surprise me because it's Klay,” Kerr told ClutchPoints. “He's one of the greatest shooters of all time. I think the biggest thing is he's found his rhythm…It's just been really fun to watch.”

Thompson's return to form was witnessed by all fans everywhere. If you're a fan of the Warriors, hope grew when he started looking like his old self, and if you're a fan of an opposing team, fear started to creep into their minds. Everyone knows if Thompson is playing well, the Warriors are going to be tough to beat.
