Down 0-2, the New Orleans Pelicans came out firing at home in Game 3 of their second round series against the Golden State Warriors.

Anthony Davis led the way with 33 points, 18 rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Jrue Holiday added 21 points, seven rebounds, five assists, two steals, and two blocks. Even Nikola Mirotic played well, scoring 16 points and grabbing 13 rebounds.

The biggest game-changer for the Pelicans, however, was Rajon Rondo. He finished with just four points, but grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out 21 assists. That's not a typo, he actually had 21 assists and just four turnovers in 37 minutes of action.

On top of his basketball plays, he also appeared to have a couple of non-basketball plays that angered the Warriors. The first was an odd looking play where Rondo's foot came around Stephen Curry's feet while the two-time MVP was in the middle of a mid-range jumpshot.

Later in the game, with the Pelicans up double-figures and both teams heading into a timeout, Rondo stepped in front of Warriors forward Draymond Green to step on his foot. That obviously ignited Green, and Rondo was assessed a technical foul after the timeout.

Head coach Steve Kerr chimed in on the competition over the first three games, including these two plays during the Warriors practice on Saturday evening.

“They're competing. I don't see anythign wrong with it other than the tripping. Can't do that. I'm all for getting underneath guys' skins, but you can't try to step on a guy's foot or try to swipe a guy underneath his foot as he shooting. Those are dangerous plays. Other than that, I like the competition.”

Clearly, Kerr was having none of Rondo's antics in Game 3. The Warriors will take on the Pelicans in Game 4 on Sunday afternoon back in New Orleans.
