Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr still couldn't believe that they won the 2021-22 NBA championship. He knew they would be a good team again, but he didn't expect them to quickly get back to title contention and actually win it all.

Kerr admitted as much during the Warriors' championship parade on Monday, describing the title win as simply “incredible.” He did say before that it's the most “unlikely” win for the franchise, so celebrating the title with the rest of Bay Area is an amazing sight for the Dubs head coach.

“When we started camp, I thought we could be pretty good but I didn't know we could win the whole thing,” Kerr said, via NBC Sports.

True enough, the Warriors faithful are probably the only ones who believed the Golden State franchise can win the title this 2021-22. With James Wiseman injured and out and Klay Thompson missing the first half of the season, people just knew it would be a difficult season for the Dubs even though they're playoff contenders.

Nonetheless, Stephen Curry and co. proved their championship pedigree, never needing a Game 7 to win any of their series in the latest postseason. They were also underdogs against the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals, and while they did struggle at the start, it didn't take long for them to find their rhythm and solve their Boston problem.

It may have been a shocking win for Steve Kerr, but the Warriors certainly deserve it.
