Draymond Green might not pad the stat sheet as much as his fellow stars, but for his head coach Steve Kerr, the Golden State Warriors' do-it-all forward is a future Hall-of-Famer.

After eliminating the New Orleans Pelicans in five games, Kerr talked about Green's impact on the game, per NBA TV:

“Pretty much the same thing I've been saying for four years. The guy is huge. Energy, amazing defense, incredible basketball intellect. He's a future Hall-of-Famer.”

Kerr also noted how the game has changed — especially how big men have taken on a non-traditional role. In today's NBA, big men seemingly have to have the same skill set as that of a guard or forward. For Kerr, they are lucky to have Green in their team:

“He's right in is prime right now but this guy's the perfect modern day NBA big. He can guard everybody. He can step out and make threes. He can handle the ball in transition. This is what the NBA has become. And you have to have somebody like Draymond to have a good team. So we're lucky to have him.”

Green was crowned the Defensive Player of the Year in 2017 and has been named to the All-Defensive First Team thrice. Apart from his awards, his intensity inside the court has been well-documented.

A report by Chris Haynes of ESPN revealed that Green texted his teammate Kevin Durant late at night after their blowout loss to the Pelicans in Game 3:

“I just challenged him to be who he is. I had to tell him,” Green told ESPN. “I didn't see him attacking or being aggressive enough on both ends of the floor like we need him to be. You know, I don't hold back. When I see something's wrong, I have to voice my opinion. There were no hard feelings. We're just trying to win a ballgame.”
