The Golden State Warriors had a major letdown in crunch time on Friday against the Washington Wizards as they suffered another tough loss. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr explained that things didn't go how they planned it to be, especially when the Wizards caught the offensive rebound which set up Bradley Beal to nail the four-point play on the corner, per Anthony Slater.

The Warriors had a chance to win the game as they were still leading 107-104 in the final seconds of the contest. The Wizards ran the clock on the supposed final possession until Russell Westbrook put up a three-point attempt with 11.8 seconds left on the clock.

The potential game-tying basket didn't go in but Beal grabbed the long rebound and hoisted an attempt of his own from beyond the arc. The shot found the bottom of the net and the three-time All-Star even received a bonus free throw as he was also fouled by Andrew Wiggins.
Up 108-107, the Warriors had another opportunity to get back and steal a victory but Damion Lee had a bad pass picked off by Wizards rookie Deni Avdija. Beal was once again fouled by Wiggins with over a second left in the clock as he shot two free throws to seal the win for his team.
The Wizards eventually ran away with a 110-107 triumph against the Warriors which caused Golden State to drop back to a 24-28 record for the 10th spot in the Western Conference. The tough loss will definitely leave a sting for the Warriors, especially after having multiple lapses in the final seconds of the game.
Head coach Steve Kerr can only hope that his players will learn from their mistakes as they try to make a late push to salvage their dismal campaign in the 2020-21 season.
