Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr told local reporters on Thursday power forward Draymond Green underwent an MRI on his left knee.

There is no structural damage in Green's knee. Kerr and the Warriors are hoping the three-time All-Star will be back in action soon, although Golden State isn't going to rush Green back since they are missing the playoffs this season for the first time under Kerr:

Green has appeared in 43 games for the Warriors this season. He’s averaging 8.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 6.2 assists while shooting 38.9 percent from the field, 27.9 percent from beyond the arc and 75.9 percent from the free-throw line.

The Warriors have the worst record in the NBA. However, they should be playoff contenders again next season once Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins and Green all play together.

After going to the NBA Finals five straight seasons, the Warriors were humbled by injuries this season. Golden State traded D'Angelo Russell to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Wiggins at the trade deadline. The Warriors are anxious to see what Curry, Thompson and Green look like with Wiggins next season.
