Despite the injuries to Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson, Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr wants both All-Stars to re-sign with the team. However, he hinted at some possible changes for the Dubs next season.
Kerr still hopeful that KD and Klay will re-sign but acknowledges the framework of the team will change on some level. “Our team is going to look a lot different next year.”

With Durant and Thompson out for a significant amount of time, the chances of the Warriors making it to the Finals for the sixth straight season is already in doubt. Now, there are questions on whether or not the team should max out both guys, considering the fact that they could be out for a year.
Article Continues BelowShould the Warriors decide to pay KD and Klay the maximum amount of money that they can get, their options in free agency will be severely limited. But for a team that has shown the entire league that they have a great culture and are managed by great executives, luring players in free agency might not be as difficult as it looks.
Of course, if Durant and/or Thompson walks away to join another team, the Warriors will have the money to spend in free agency. With that said, it is indeed possible that fans will be seeing a different Golden State squad in October.
The Warriors have options, but their first priority is to keep the guys that helped them become a dynasty.
