If you haven't seen “Ted Lasso” then you're definitely missing out. The Apple TV hit show is one of the best programs out there right now, and it has multiple Emmy Awards to back this claim. As it turns out, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is a huge fan of the show — and it's because of his son, Matthew.
The Warriors shot-caller doesn't just follow Ted Lasso because his son adores it. As a matter of fact, Matthew Kerr is actually one of the writers on the show. Matthew joined the Ted Lasso team as a writing assistant for Season 2, and he recently shared a hilarious story of that time his superstar dad Zoom-bombed one of his meetings:

Davison of The Athletic. “But my dad, we were on Zoom, and I was in my room and he came in the doors behind me to ask for a pair of headphones while I was at work. And I was like, ‘Get out! Don’t bother me!' And then I gave him a pair of headphones and was like, ‘Scram!' And then people recognized him via Zoom. So I was like, ‘Well, that’s the end of that.”
Steve Kerr may be one of the most esteemed coaches in all of the NBA, but apparently, he too is not immune from receiving the cold shoulder treatment at home. Well, to be fair, he did barge in on Matthew's business meeting unannounced so to some degree, the Warriors coach probably deserved it.
For what it's worth, Steve Kerr is actually a big fan of football (or soccer, as it's called in North America). This could explain why he follows Ted Lasso on the regular. The fact that his son is one of the writers on the show is also a big factor, though.
