The Golden State Warriors have completely dominated Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets in the NBA playoffs. While Jordan Poole, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson shoot the lights out, Draymond Green is holding down the fort defensively against Jokic. The former Defensive Player of the Year is showing precisely why he is always in the discussion to win the award.
Jokic is shooting a paltry 36 percent against Green in the series compared to 70 percent against any other defender. This is just business as usual for the Warriors' defensive stalwart. He proved he truly has Jokic's number with a last-minute steal in Game 3.
Through 3 games, Draymond Green has held Nikola Jokic to 13-for-36 shooting (36%) as the primary defender.

Jokic has a huge burden to carry for the Nuggets with Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. sidelined. Green shutting him down even as he gives up five inches and 60 pounds has put the Nuggets on the brink of elimination from the NBA playoffs and Jokic on the brink of making unfortunate history.
Although Green was not voted as a finalist for the DPOY award this year, he was still an elite defender. Had he played more games, he would have been in a great position to win it. He led the Warriors to the best defensive rating in the league and took on major defensive responsibilities in every game.
The Warriors are on the verge of sweeping the Nuggets. With Curry's minutes going up, Denver doesn't stand much of a chance. Unless the team around Nikola Jokic steps up or the MVP favorite can overcome the stellar Draymond Green defense, his season will be over soon.
