SAN FRANCISCO — There are not many players in the NBA with more experience than Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala.

The 38-year-old veteran was drafted back in 2004, and has had the pleasure of playing with multiple all-time greats like Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Allen Iverson. After being around the game for so long, you develop an eye for talent.

The Warriors have a lot of talented young players, but Jordan Poole has stood out the most. His improved play this season reminds Iguodala of Tyler Herro, his former teammate with the Miami heat.

“There's just that hump you got to get over in terms of understanding what impact on the game means,” Iguodala told ClutchPoints. “I think they're very similar in those ways. Tyler got to experience that in the bubble playing deep into the playoffs having those great playoff games, and he's been able to elevate his game, and I've seen the same trajectory with Jordan.”

Herro is the Heat’s sixth man. He's one of the young players on the team with star qualities. The Heat will likely sign him to a long-term deal, and he will be the face of the franchise one day. That is probably Poole's future with the Warriors.

The huge step forward Poole took this season has been monumental to the Warriors’ success. In just over a week, he’ll be playing on the biggest stage he's ever seen. It’s time for Poole to help navigate his team through the NBA playoffs.

It's Poole's first trip to the postseason, and he's filled with excitement. Warriors fans should be, too.
