Golden State Warriors minority owner Mark Stevens might eventually lose his share in the franchise.
Mark Stevens made headlines after he was seen pushing Toronto Raptors star guard Kyle Lowry in Game 3 of the 2019 NBA Finals on Tuesday in Oracle Arena. According to Dylan Byers of NBC News, Stevens will likely be forced to give up his shares before the 2019-20 NBA season.

The shoving incident drew reactions from fans and players, with most of them condemning the actions of Mark Stevens. He was initially barred from watching the remaining Oracle games for the Warriors in the 2019 NBA Finals. Several players, including LeBron James, cried foul, saying that the sanction was too weak.
James took to Instagram to react on the incident, saying that Stevens' action had no place at all in the league. The Los Angeles Lakers' superstar said that he has been very quiet throughout the playoffs, but he broke his silence because he felt he needed his voice to be heard.

Upon the conclusion of the league's investigation, the NBA banned Mark Stevens for one season, starting in Game 4 of the 2019 NBA Finals. The Warriors' minority owner was also fined $500,000 for his actions. He will also not be allowed to attend all Warriors team activities.
Other franchises have had to deal with fans acting horribly toward players. The Utah Jazz had to confront this problem when a fan directed vile and abusive speech toward Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder this past regular season.
What Mark Stevens did to Kyle Lowry was also extremely inappropriate, and it occurred on the global stage of the NBA Finals. Expect this rumor to become reality in a short period of time.
