We last saw Bogut in the NBA during the 2017-18 season as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers. He played a minimal role for the squad, as the former NBA champion averaged only 9.4 minutes in 23 appearances for L.A. before he was eventually waived by the team in January of last year.
Article Continues BelowWith no other team showing interest in signing the big man, many believed that Bogut's time in the NBA was over. He decided to come home to his native of Australia, where he would absolutely revive his career. Bogut led the Sydney Kings to a semi-finals berth, averaging 11.4 points (on 56 percent shooting), 11.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 0.5 steals, and 2.7 blocks in 30 mins per ballgame.
A reunion with the Warriors would be an ideal landing spot for Bogut, as he remains to be an endearing figure in the hearts and minds of the Dubs faithful. The former All-NBA big man memorably played a pivotal part for the Warriors in the 2014-15, where they would go all the way to take the NBA title against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
There is no official word yet on Bogut's return to the league, but with how well he has been playing in the NBL, it would not be surprising to see the big man take the court again in the NBA this season.
