DeMarcus Cousins had his own little highlight in the Golden State Warriors' blowout loss at the hands of the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night.

Cousins got rid of Mavs rookie sensation Luka Doncic with an in-and-out dribble and flew in for a huge throwdown and the and-one.

DeMarcus Cousins is still finding his way back into his old All-Star form after tearing his Achilles last season. This move looks to be a great sign that the former All-NBA center is finally finding his feet beneath him.

Nonetheless, Cousins was perhaps the lone bright spot among Golden State's plethora of stars tonight. The defending champions, who were without Stephen Curry due to rest, got hammered in front of their home crowd. The loss marked their most lopsided defeat of the season, 126-91.

Dallas came out of the gates on fire and never looked back. Mavs legend Dirk Nowitzki scored eight points in the first three minutes of the game en route to a season-high 21 points. Luka Doncic, on the other hand, notched another triple-double with 23 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.

With their two-time MVP taking the night off, most of the Warriors struggled throughout the contest, with the exception of Cousins who scored 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting. He also added six rebounds and three assists in 23 minutes of action.

Kevin Durant top-scored for the Warriors with 25 points but shot an abysmal 9-of-25 from the field. Klay Thompson struggled to find his rhythm with his fellow Splash Brother off the floor and scored just eight points on 4-of-13 shooting, failing to connect on all four of his tries from deep.

With the loss loss, Golden State fell out of the number one seed in the Western Conference and is now a half game behind the Denver Nuggets.

With the way they are managing the load of their players as the season winds down, it seems like Warriors are just fine with giving up the top seed in the West in exchange of a healthy and battle-ready roster come the post-season.
