Friday night is set to be a coming-out party for DeMarcus Cousins, who will make his debut with the Golden State Warriors as they face off against the Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center. Cousins, who has been out for almost a year rehabbing a ruptured Achilles, has been the subject of discussion for many sports media outlets. There is still uncertainty revolving around how much the All-Star center will look like his pre-injury self.
However, NBC Sports showed just how impactful they think he will be for the Warriors, and how lethal he will be for the rest of the league, in a post on their Instagram page:

The hilarious post saw multiple players in the league depicted as characters from the recent Marvel installment, “Avengers: Infinity War.” We caught a glimpse of LeBron James as Black Panther, Anthony Davis as Captain America, James Harden as Scarlet Witch, and Luka Doncic as Black Widow (which was possibly the best of all), among others.

The NBA on TNT Twitter account had a similar but somewhat different take on the return:

For the Warriors, taking out their competition won’t be as easy as a snap of the fingers, but the efforts of those who try to stop them could be just as futile as in the movie. The return of DeMarcus Cousins will give Golden State nearly as many All-Stars in their starting lineup as Thanos had infinity stones, giving the already daunting Warriors quite the edge over their opponents. The chances of anyone around the league may not be one in 14,000,605, but they undoubtedly have their work cut out for them.
