It was not that long ago when Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant and Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum had a little back and forth following a heated convo on the latter’s podcast. It’s a nice, subtle, and witty touch right there by NBA 2K19.

Late last month, Durant was a guest – the first, actually –of McCollum’s Pull Up podcast. When McCollum started to talk about how positive he is of the Blazers’ chances of winning an NBA title even with the Warriors’ seemingly autocratic rule in the NBA, Durant rained on Portland guard’s parade, as he essentially told McCollum that the Blazers have zero odds of lifting the Larry O’Brien Trophy at the end of the season.

Shortly after the conclusion of the podcast, McCollum hopped on Twitter and made a chin-scratching post that compared Durant’s move to Golden State to that of a fight involving two brothers and a gang.

Durant, of course, didn’t take that tweet sitting down. Using his legitimate Twitter account, the former league MVP fired back at McCollum. Hey, if Durant can get away bickering a teenager online, he sure could spar with a fellow NBA star online.

If anything, that squabble between Durant and McCollum definitely adds a little more spice to the next meeting of the Warriors and Blazers.
