Not everyone was happy that Kevin Durant decided to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder and join the Golden State Warriors.

In fact, most people were somewhat upset.

Durant turned the league on its side with the decision. Never before has a player this talented joined a team that is this good.

Because of that, there has been plenty of criticism thrown Durant's way for the decision. Some have even gone as far as to call him “weak” for the move.

Durant appeared as a guest on Bill Simmons' HBO show Any Given Wednesday last night and addressed the critique straight up.

It's pretty clear Durant isn't happy with being called weak.

KD admitted that he knew there would be ill-feelings toward him for choosing the Warriors, but at the end of the day he decided not to care as much about that and put himself and what he wanted first.

“When they call me weak, I'm the total opposite,” he said.

KD asked rhetorically how he could be weak if he's made it to the top of his profession. Durant went on to talk about how there's nothing he really could have done to avoid the criticism and that he just has to live with it. He said he knows some fans don't really care about him as much as a person and rather just what he can do on the basketball court.

“Why should I care about what they think if they don't really care about me as a whole?,” he said.

Durant makes some valid points. This season, he'll play the villain role more than ever before. It'll be a new look for KD.
