Dwyane Wade’s Miami Heat homecoming happened earlier than most as the franchise’s all-time leader in several categories was excited to get back on the floor. He didn’t waste much time until he took his first shot when he let one fly from three-point range in the first quarter.

The Heat faced the Milwaukee Bucks Friday night at the American Airlines Arena.
The moment came in the first quarter when Wade received a pass from small forward Josh Richardson from the right wing. Wade took one dribble from the three-point line before hoisting up a jumper and nailing it with 1:32 remaining. That was his first attempt and it gave the Heat a two-point lead 19-17.

Unfortunately, Wade’s first basket is also his only basket for the game. He shot 1-of-6 from the field for three points but contributed more in other ways in his 22 minutes of floor time. He finished the game with two rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocks. Not bad for an old-timer who just came back to his old stomping grounds.
Dwyane Wade entered the game to a standing ovation with 5:19 left in the first quarter. The crowd cheered loudly as if to welcome a long, lost son.
The Heat defeated the Bucks 91-85 to snap a five-game losing streak. Wade’s contributions helped to energize the team, leading to a much-needed victory after losing several close games the past week.
Miami received Wade from the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for a protected 2024 second-round pick.
