Houston Rockets center Clint Capela became just the second player since NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman to have at least 19 rebounds in seven consecutive games when he pulled down 22 rebounds during Houston's loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday afternoon.

Capela finds himself in some pretty elite company. Rodman led the NBA in rebounding average for seven consecutive seasons between 1992 and 1998, and he is regarded as one of the best rebounders in NBA history.

The 25-year-old from Switzerland is making a name for himself as one of the best rebounders in the modern era. Capela has increased his rebounding output in each of the last two seasons, finishing fifth in the NBA in rebounding average (12.7) last season.

Capela is also an excellent weapon on the offensive glass, having finished in the top five in offensive rebounding percentage in each of the last two seasons.

Whereas Thunder center Steven Adams seemed to miss out on a number of rebounds due to the presence of Russell Westbrook, Capela has actually increased his output with Westbrook on the roster.

The Rockets ranked sixth in the NBA in rebounding prior to Sunday's game, but that has not helped them overcome defensive issues and inefficient shooting. The Rockets ranked 15th in defensive rating before the Mavericks dropped 137 points on Sunday, and Houston shot a woeful 22.7 percent from beyond the arc.

Capela was one of the guys that Daryl Morey was reportedly considering trading prior to the Westbrook blockbuster this summer, but he is one of the best two-way players on the roster.

Clearly, Capela is also an animal on the glass.
