John Wall looked pretty good in his Houston Rockets debut on Friday, leading his new team to a 125-104 preseason win over the Chicago Bulls at the United Center. But as far as the five-time All-Star is concerned, this new-look Rockets team will be even more dangerous once their superstar James Harden joins them on the floor.
The Beard sat out the match after just recently joining the Rockets' training camp a few days ago. Despite the controversies surrounding Harden at the moment, Wall told reporters after the game that his new backcourt mate is one of the most lethal scorers to ever step foot in the NBA.
John Wall: "We know what those guys can bring to our team and how much better they can make our team. We know what James can do, one of the best scorers you've ever seen. When you add those pieces to what we have now, I feel like we can be a very special team."

Harden's future with the Rockets has been a hot topic as of late, following his supposed desire to be traded elsewhere, despite the team making significant moves this offseason by acquiring Wall in exchange for Russell Westbrook. The Rockets also signed four-time All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins. Those high-profile moves, however, did little to influence Harden's decision as he opted to go on a lengthy bender rather than join his squad in practice before the new NBA season.
Wall's comments, meanwhile, seems like a calculated pitch for Harden to give this new Rockets team a shot. Cousins took a more subtle approach post-game, sending out a cryptic message to the disgruntled superstar.
Following his lengthy lay-off from injury, John Wall impressed in limited minutes in his maiden stint for the Rockets. The 6-foot-4 speedster flashed his all-around game, tallying 13 points, five rebounds, and nine assists in just 19 minutes.
