The New York Knicks had their four-game win streak snapped by the lowly Charlotte Hornets on Monday night. The 18-point loss may have been a result of some fatigue as it marked the first time that they had failed to score more than 111 points during that span.

Fortunately, the Knicks could have some reinforcements coming soon. New York announced on their official Public Relations page that small forward Tim Hardaway Jr. is making progress in his rehab and will proceed with on-court work:

Knicks fans can breathe a sigh of relief especially after initial concerns regarding his injury. Although a timetable for his return is still unclear at this point, it is encouraging to see him making progress. That said, the team will likely be able to determine his route back based off how he handles the upcoming workouts.

Hardaway Jr. has been an integral part of the Knicks' early success in the 2017-18 NBA season. Prior to the injury, he was averaging 17.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.

Despite the key loss, New York has still managed to turn things around in his absence after having now won five of their last seven games. Needless to say, his looming return will undoubtedly be welcomed by this Knicks team looking to stay above .500.
