Brandon Ingram had himself quite a night in Wednesday's 127-123 overtime loss to the Golden State Warriors.

He poured in a career-high 32 points on an efficient 12-of-21 shooting and made both of his three-point attempts. He also had five rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks.

Ingram only recently turned 20 years old, and his performance on Wednesday put him in some elite company among former Lakers, per ESPN Stats and Info.

Ingram's scoring outburst was not an aberration. He's scored at least 20 points in three games this year, and has a host of performances where he comes close to that mark.

Ingram has found ways to score more this season, mainly opting for hard drives to the basket where he can use his length to finish at the rim over defenders. He also appears to have more confidence this season, which undoubtedly has led to better efficiency on that end of the court.

Also, Ingram faced Warriors star Kevin Durant on Wednesday, so that may have had something to do with his focus coming into the game.

The fact that Ingram is improving at a swift rate in only his second year in the NBA is encouraging. While there are still plenty of facets of his game he can improve upon — becoming a more consistent shooter, for instance — the 20-year-old is definitely finding his groove.

Ingram will only continue to get better and more mature as he gets older. When that time comes, there's no telling how many other records he can break.
