Before the first half of the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors game ended, Brook Lopez sprained his ankle while defending Kevin Durant. He did not return for the second half as the Lakers now prepare for a two-game road trip against the Houston Rockets and Warriors.
According to Ryan Ward of ClutchPoints, the 29-year-old suffered a moderate ankle sprain and will be reevaluated in three weeks:

In his first season with the Lakers, Lopez is averaging 12.8 points (44.4 percent from the field and 29.7 percent from the three-point line) and 4.3 rebounds in 22.4 minutes (all career-lows). Fortunately for head coach Luke Walton, he has been dealing a crowded frontcourt where Julius Randle, Larry Nance Jr., Andrew Bogut, Ivica Zubac, and Thomas Bryant are all capable of filling in for Lopez during his injury recovery.
While Randle is expected to see more minutes and finish games, it will be interesting to see who starts. During Walton's coaching career, he has tried to maintain his rotations, so Bogut may be his choice to start at center. However, Lopez's injury provides potential opportunities for Zubac and Bryant to finally be a part of the team's rotation and play meaningful minutes.
