Sacramento Kings point guard De'Aaron Fox had nothing but praise for fellow rookie Lonzo Ball after coming away with a 113-102 win at the Golden 1 Center.
Fox noted how Ball has had a major spotlight through the start of the young season with every struggle and bad performance put under a magnifying glass due to the massive hype surrounding him before, during, and after the NBA Draft.
“The expectations are out of this world for him,” Fox said, according to Bill Oram of The Orange County Register. “I couldn’t imagine it.”
Fox outscored Ball with his 13 points, but the Los Angeles Lakers rookie managed to record an efficient double-double of 11 points and 11 assists while grabbing seven rebounds in the effort as well.

Yet even after a successful individual outing, Ball is still bound to face plenty of questions — most recently regarding his father's questioning of the Lakers' coaching.
“It’s basically a famous family,” Fox said. “I was going to compare it to the Kardashians. Just necessarily saying how famous the family is, not what you do to get famous or anything like that. They are all being watched.”
Eventually, the magnifying glass on Ball will shrink back to normal as the season goes on and other storylines take precedent. His comfort zone on the court should also see a different pace as he garners experience and more familiarity with Luke Walton's system.
