Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are two of the best defenders in the NBA. They can also score 30-plus points on a nightly basis in their sleep. The Clippers were already a gritty team before Leonard and George came to town. Patrick Beverley and Montrezl Harrell are two rough riders who never back down from anyone. The 2019-20 Clippers are going to be a defensive juggernaut, that's for sure.
Leonard averaged 26.6 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists last season with the Toronto Raptors. He shot 49.6 percent from the field, 37.1 percent from beyond the arc and 85.4 percent from the free-throw line. Leonard is a three-time All-Star, two-time Defensive Player of the Year and two-time Finals MVP.
With the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2018-19, George put up 28.0 points, 8.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists while shooting 43.8 percent from the floor, 38.6 percent from the 3-point line and 83.9 percent from the charity stripe. PG has made the All-Star team six times and an All-Defensive team four times.
